Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Electrical Engineer will operate and maintain the 3.5MW data center electrical infrastructure, ensuring 24×7 availability, no single point of failure, and full compliance with operational sustainability requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate, monitor, and maintain HT/LT systems, transformers, UPS, DG sets, switchgear, and power distribution in a Tier III environment.
Execute electrical switching and isolation strictly as per SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs, ensuring zero service interruption.
Monitor electrical systems via BMS/DCIM, analyze alarms, and take first-level corrective action.
Ensure concurrent maintainability during planned maintenance without affecting critical IT load.
Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with OEMs and vendors, adhering to maintenance windows.
Enforce electrical safety, LOTO procedures, and statutory compliance at all times.
Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reporting.
Maintain accurate shift logs, switching records, maintenance reports, and audit documentation.
Support audits, readiness assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Other Specification

Education Level: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university, with strong foundation in power systems, electrical machines, protection systems, and industrial electrical installations.
Experience Required: 3–5 years in data centers or other mission-critical environments such as telecom networks, hospitals, airports, broadcast facilities, or industrial plants where continuous power availability is essential.

Other Specifications:

Proven experience in operation and maintenance of critical electrical infrastructure, including HT/LT panels, transformers, UPS systems (static and modular), battery banks, diesel generator sets, automatic transfer systems, switchgear, and power distribution units.
Experience with concurrently maintainable power architectures, redundant power paths, load transfer mechanisms, and maintenance without service interruption.
Strong knowledge of electrical redundancy, fault tolerance, selective coordination, short-circuit protection, and grounding/earthing systems.
Hands-on experience performing electrical switching, isolation, and restoration activities in live environments, following SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs.
Working knowledge of BMS and DCIM platforms, including monitoring, alarm interpretation, and escalation procedures.
Experience coordinating preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance with OEMs and vendors.
Knowledge of electrical safety practices, including LOTO, permit-to-work systems, risk assessments, and compliance with local codes and regulations.
Familiarity with audit-driven environments and compliance frameworks.
Ability to maintain accurate operational documentation, including shift logs, switching records, maintenance reports, and audit evidence.
Capability to work in 24×7 rotating shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Strong communication and coordination skills to interface with operations teams, security, vendors, and management.
High level of professional integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
