Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with hands-on experience in the development and/or operation of power projects. Prior experience in ground-mounted solar projects shall be strongly preferred. The candidate will be responsible for the design, execution, testing, and commissioning of solar electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project standards, safety norms, and technical specifications

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct basic design of ground mounted solar PV projects
Collaborate with design consultants for detailed engineering design and finalization
Ensure adherence to design during project execution
Supervise electrical installations including transformers, switchgear, inverters, cables, and earthing systems
Coordinate with civil and mechanical teams for seamless project integration
Support in selection and inspection of electrical materials and equipment
Implement value engineering and value-added solutions for clients
Participate in training and development activities to stay abreast of new industry developments
Represent the organization at various forums and events and establish a strong presence
Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders for timely completion

This is project site visit position with occasional travel to Kathmandu head office. Remuneration and perks shall be as per industry standards with strong career development opportunities.

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in power project development and/or operation
Prior experience in ground-mounted solar projects preferred
Strong knowledge of electrical system design and installation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Proven ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines efficiently
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
