Time Bound Contract - Six months to One year
- Implement the food assistance programme in accordance WV and donor standards and alignment to approved proposal and budget and ensure the quality of program implementation to achieve program goals.
- Monitor and evaluate food assistance program interventions to provide guidance for the improvement, adaptation and learning of the Response in implementing the project.
- Coordinate and contribute to sector programming with the UN Sector Cluster system and government authorities and ensuring the MOUs with all parties are in place.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with donors, INGOs, government and partners.
- Continue toD develop a detailed Livelihoods Strategy that links to the approaches of other sectors to enhance income generating, skills development and sustainable livelihood opportunities aligned with the Response Strategy.
- Coordinate with a wide stakeholder group including Livelihoods clusters, Food Security Cluster, key agencies, other INGOs, government and other entities as required to create innovative and impact driven programs and Ensure relationships with these (and other) key stakeholders are developed and sustained.
- Ensure Livelihoods Strategy meets the needs of the affected communities , that programs are implemented through WVIN partners and that monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems are designed to evaluate the effectiveness of the program, and flexible approaches are incorporated to adapt proposed programs to meet the changing needs.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s Degree in Social Science/Economic/Management or relevant field with at least sseven years of practical experience in humanitarian related work
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership, people management, coaching, mentoring, and team building skills
- Strong problem identification, analytical and solving skills
- Strong competency in proposal & report writing, monitoring and budgeting skills
- Experience working with communities and local governments, INGOs, donors and other key internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members in a cross-cultural environment
- Demonstrates cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity and physical stamina. Ability to exhibit exemplary lifestyle as interpreted in specific local cultural context.
- Ability to live and work in difficult remote areas and travel extensively
- Knowledge of and adherence to the Red Cross and NGO Code of Conduct
