Ltd. is a publication house with an aim to develop reading skill and habit among children  through and library establishment, developing activities that support reading and producing colorful  children’s books. Kathalaya has worked in developing quality story books and fill the void of quality and  diverse set of books specifically focusing on the children in Nepali language. Kathalaya Inc. published over  350 colorful pictorial titles of stories, poems and original work (drawings and themes) of students and  supplied to various schools, libraries, NGOs/INGOs and book stores in the country.  

Kathalaya has tied up with International Publishers like Scholastic India for “Time to discover”, Usborne  Publication for Science Encyclopedia and Arvind Kumar Publishers, India.  

Kathalaya is publishing international children and non-children books from renowned publishers around  the world like; Hachette UK, Les-400 coup Canada, Gemser Publication-Spain, Opal- Sweden, Gylendle Denmark etc.

Job Title: Digital Marketing Associate 
Job Area: Sales and Marketing 
Type of Position: Full Time  
Reports to: CEO  

  • Brand establishment, 
  • Content creation and social media management, 
  • Coordination for Event Management 
  • Increase sales of Kathalaya and We Read books, 
  • Database management  

Responsibilities:  

  • Manage organization's social media accounts, respond promptly to comments, maintain  a positive brand image, and stay updated on trends to stay ahead of competition and  adapt to changing marketing landscape. 
  • Design creative content and post on social media , edit, publish and share engaging  content daily for social media platforms, website and other digital channel. (e.g. original  text, photos, videos and news) 
  • Design and execute social media strategies and campaigns that align with goals. • Monitor and analyze the performance of digital marketing campaigns, track key metrics,  and provide reports.
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor  customer reviews. 
  • Oversee Monthly Calendar for content to publish in social media. • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and  applications. 
  • Attending on book fairs and carnivals to sale and promotion of books. • Coordination with team for book release event, book talk events and other promotion events. 
  • Online presence on all selected online selling portals for book promotion and sales.  • Any other activities as assigned by the supervisor. 

Qualification: 

  • Bachelors’ degree (BBA /BBS) minimum of 1 year of experience 

Skills: 

  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office, Email/ Internet 
  • Ability to work well with team and maintain positive working environment  
  • Good communication skills both in English and Nepali  
  • Negotiation & communication skills, Capability to build sound relationship with  client. 

Preferred  

  • Bachelors’ degree with Digital Marketing with one year of professional experience  
  • Sound understanding of publication market
