Job Description

The Development (Fundraising) Officer works with the CEO to build a strong funding base for Teach For Nepal to support ambitious programmatic growth goals. The Development Officer is responsible for raising funds and maintaining relationships with key donors and their organizations. 

Primarily responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Working closely with the CEO, develop and implement fundraising strategy of Teach For Nepal
  • Create fundraising pitches, strategies, and plans to achieve funding goals for different donor segment
  • Research and identify potential donors in different sectors – corporate & private Sector, NGOs & INGOs, bilateral/multilateral agencies, local and international foundations, and individuals
  • Write Concept Notes, Project Proposals, and Grants based on the donor requirements
  • Write periodic reports and annual reports in accordance to the donor requirements
  • Stewardship of donors, in order to ensure repeat donations
  • Cultivate and solicit funds through external donor meetings, events, and correspondence
  • Lead fundraising campaigns and events
  • Create regular e-newsletters, newsletters for donor engagement
  • Work with Communication team to ensure that external and internal communications are aligned to Development Strategies
  • Work with the finance team to ensure all reports are sent to donors in a complete and timely fashion
  • Support other Teach For Nepal team when required
