Job Description

Main Objective:

  • Under the guidance of the PM WASH and the National WASH Cluster (DWSS, UNCIEF), the incumbent will be responsible for the day-to day leadership and facilitate the processes of the cluster approach that will ensure a well-coordinated and effective WASH response.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the representative of ACF as the Co-lead agency to support to carry out assessments, make response plans and coordinate with other actors for taking part in response activities
  • Identify locations of the greatest need, i.e. where most houses are destroyed, formal and informal camps, displaced people without resources of their own, etc.
  • Assess and regularly update who need support for water supply, sanitation and hygiene and prepare response plan for initial three months and then after.
  • Assess potential resources in terms of materials, money and manpower and work on filling gaps in coordination with region and centre (4W).
  • Coordinate the rapid response to diarrhoeal/cholera outbreaks.
  • Assist the DWSS in setting the agenda and chairing regular coordination meetings with other support agencies.
  • Monitor the quality of the overall response, esp. among the worst affected areas, including camps.

Gross Salary per month: NPR 71,981.00 (excluding accommodation allowance and relocation grant which depends on the localized/delocalized staff)
