Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Position: Deputy Chief Executive Officer

The candidate for this position will be based in Lalitpur and expected to perform following tasks: 

Project Development and Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with multiple stakeholders ( Donors, Government and other organizations)
• Structure and lead the team to deliver desirable deliverables.
• Represent Nagarik Aawaz in various meetings, workshops, professional associations, and other public venues.
• Proposal and report writing by mobilizing the program and admin team of Nagarik Aawaz,
• Be a focal person for communicating donors and allies of Nagarik Aawaz
• Develop thought leadership around specific topics/emerging practice areas.
• Share in knowledge dissemination, reporting, and communications.

Organizational Building

• Assist CEO in essential internal leadership activities (human resources, administration, organizational planning and development).
• Lead Team building initiatives in consultation with CEO as per the need of the team of Nagarik Aawaz.
• Manage increasing segments of information technology, human resources (recruiting, reviews, staff deployment/workload balancing, and career progression) with related internal communications and budgeting/finance duties.
•  Mentoring and coaching to the team as when required
• The person should be compassionate and keep Nagarik Aawaz’ core values in mind while executing her duties.

Qualifications

• 5-years in a senior management position in a nonprofit organization,
• Highly intelligent, advanced/Maters degree in social science
• Track record delivering superior results, commanding respect, and assuming leadership roles
• Success in roles requiring the execution of multiple tasks while responding to multiple priorities
• Proven ability to work with efficiency, flexibility, and good humor
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide array of people – junior and senior team members, , and from diverse backgrounds
• Operates with excellence in mind in all matters, with the confidence to defend/debate ideas without ego interfering
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are essential
• Transparent, direct, with substance
• Self-starter, self-disciplined
• Remain focused in the face of pressure, deliver against timelines, not intimidated by tasks/time limitations
