About the job

Job Title: Cybersecurity Engineer

We are looking for an Experienced Candidate to join our team as a Cybersecurity Engineer. The Cybersecurity engineer will be responsible for analyzing the systems periodically and keep it cyber-protected. Also works closely with Technology & Compliance teams to meet QCB regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

Monitoring and SIEM Alert Management: Lead the focused monitoring of alerts, including SIEM alerts, and oversee the investigation, analysis, remediation, and response to potential threats to maintain organizational security.
Incident Response: Coordinate and manage the response and remediation for alerts identified by the SOC or internal monitoring systems, serving as a senior point of escalation and defence.
Documentation and Vulnerability Management: Oversee the identification and remediation of detected vulnerabilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, tracking remediation progress, and leading monthly vulnerability reviews. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistent and effective vulnerability management practices in accordance with established standards.
User Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver advanced internal cybersecurity training programs to enhance security awareness and best practices across the organization.
Endpoint Security: Lead the resolution of issues and alerts related to antivirus and antimalware solutions, ensuring the protection of organizational endpoints and communication channels.
Risk Management: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, identify potential security weaknesses, and recommend and implement remediation actions in line with established procedures.
Data Loss Prevention (DLP): Lead the monitoring of DLP alerts, investigate incidents, and recommend actions to relevant teams to minimize data breaches and also the implementation of physical security controls to secure organizational facilities.
Digital Wallet Security: Manage and secure digital wallet solutions, ensuring the protection of sensitive financial data and compliance with industry standards.
And also Lead the implementation and support of encryption solutions to protect sensitive data.
Security Operations: Oversee daily security operations, ensuring all systems function optimally and securely, and provide strategic guidance to the security operations team.
Qatar Central Bank InfoSec Regulations: Ensure compliance with Qatar Central Bank's information security regulations, including the implementation of required controls and adherence to data protection requirements.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Extensive Experience: 6+ years in system and network administration, ideally in diverse or large-scale environments, with significant cybersecurity-specific responsibilities.
Security Tools Proficiency: Hands-on experience with SIEM, antivirus/antimalware, DLP, vulnerability management systems, and automation scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
Incident Response and Management: Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in incident response, security alert management, and vulnerability management.
Compliance and Best Practices: Knowledge of security frameworks, best practices, and compliance standards (e.g., CIS CSC, ISO 27001, HIPAA), and experience with central bank documentation and InfoSec regulations.
Certifications: At least one cybersecurity-specific certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CompTIA CySA+, Any other relevant acceptable certified body).
Digital Wallet and Payment Security: Experience with digital wallet security, card security, and payment gateway security, ensuring secure transactions and data protection.
Endpoint and Communication Security: Solid understanding of endpoint security, e-mail protection solutions, and handling anti-spam and anti-phishing security alerts.
Risk Management and Data Protection: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, implement remediation actions, and lead data loss prevention (DLP) efforts to minimize data breaches.
