  • Saathi is looking for a Psychosocial Counselor. S/he is expected to share information with the team members, discuss cases, advise the team members, undertake the case management responsibility and maintain individual case management files of all the beneficiaries under the program
  • The Counselor’s role will be to help beneficiaries to modify attitudes and patterns of behaviour by increasing understanding of the nature and source of personal problems, and by identifying and building on personal strengths


Job Description

Maintaining case management records

  • Contents of individual counselling, group counselling, peer counselling, staff counselling
  • Family/community counselling must be reported in forms and documented in the case management folder

Working with direct beneficiaries

  • Counsel beneficiaries individually or in other small groups regarding plans for meeting their needs, and aid them to mobilize inner capacities and environmental resources to improve social functioning.
  • Psychological assessment of the beneficiaries.
  • Counseling beneficiaries for pre and post reintegration activities
  • Counseling residents for pre and post vocational training
  • Attend case meetings regularly

Working with indirect beneficiaries

  • Carry out field visit when required.
  • Conduct family/community counselling whenever required
  • Couple counselling when the need is identified

Working with team members

  • Coordination with the program team members
  • Assist Child Protection officer in developing a future plan for the beneficiaries in terms of vocational training and reintegration
  • Assist caseworkers in conducting beneficiaries’ case meetings
  • Attend meetings with the program team
