Autism Care Chitwan Society (ACCS) is a non-governmental, non-profit making organization established by group of dedicated parents of children with Autism. ACCS since its inception has been actively working for awareness, the rights and capacity building of child/persons with autism. ACCS has working experience with several INGOs like Abilis Foundation, Handicap International together with the Autism Care Nepal Society. Besides in the short period it has gained its credibility from the Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPD) and government stakeholders from the district. Besides this Autism Care Chitwan Society had worked on inclusive education project particularly with student with disability, in additional ACCS worked in emergency period (Covid response project).

Job Description

Duty Station: The position will be based in Bharatpur metropolitan city/ Kalika municipality and frequent field visits to school and community

Responsibilities 

Responsibility 1: Project Implementation Activities:  

  • Conduct the field level activities and ensure them timely having quality outputs and within  approval budget 
  • Ensure the active participation of communities and local stakeholders during project  implementation 
  • Ensure effective implementation of approved planned, activities and strategies 
  • Identified out of school children especially children with disability from ward level, ensure  enrollment and regularity in schools 
  • Support and coordinate with itinerary teachers at community level  
  • Support in referral of identified children with functional limitation and follow up 
  • Facilitate to access Disability identity card to the needy one from the community  
  • Support in community awareness in regards to inclusion to local OPD  
  • Ensure, inform and report complain feedback mechanism at school level 
  • Support to ensure minimum standard of accessibility at school and community level 

Responsibility 2: Coordination and Communication Activities: 

  • Maintain effective coordination on regular basis with the project teamespecially with Project  coordinator, project officer so that there is efficient internal communications of information  between project team members, supervisor 
  • Represent the project and ACCS at different level of meeting workshop and when necessary 
  • Co-ordinate and assure the quality, regularity, and appropriateness of local communication  with Local level stakeholders 
  • Promote and maintain effective communication with other consortium implementing partners  at field level 
  • Maintain good relation with project beneficiaries and local government 
  • Coordination with beneficiaries, local private sector service agents and suppliers and other  stakeholders at project areas 
  • Regular follow up with the family of children with disability.
  • Regular communication with project officer to update progress challenges and issues during  the implementation. 

Responsibility 3 : Monitoring and Reporting Activities : 

  • Make sure that project data is being collected from each events and report them to project  officer  
  • Documentation of the suggestion and feedback from stakeholders during the activity  implementation 
  • Prepare the success case stories and capture project outcomes through success stories and  case reports. 
  • Support PO in preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly reports relating activities of the  project. 
  • Submission of monthly progress report on given deadlines. 
  • Document the learning and major findings of the project intervention 
  • The recommendations from visits and meetings are followed and conveyed to project officer - Capture case stories, learning and evidence and share with project officer 

Qualification and required skills 

  • Higher Secondary Level passed. (+2 passed) 
  • Sound knowledge in disability and inclusion 
  • Should have communication skills 
  • Sound knowledge on reporting Skills 
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines 
  • Strong coordination skills with likeminded organization and Local government  
  • Sound knowledge in MS word, excel, PowerPoint, email and internet. 
  • Two wheelers driving license holder will be preferable
