Community Engagement Officer-3 Positions

Purpose:  Lead the community engagement activities in his/her assigned location/district. S/He will facilitate in planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of all program activities through coordination with field teams, community organizing, data collection, and partnership development.

Terms and Location:  Fixed term employment for six (6) months based at Sindhupalchok, Dolakha and roving for Sindhuli and Makwanpur Programme Unit.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Community Development, Social Work, or related degrees. At least 3 years of experience in the management and implementation of emergency response projects or community engagement project. Ability to facilitate planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programme in emergency response projects. Competencies both in English and Nepali Language and report writing and presentation skills. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serves as focal point of contact and coordinate closely with team in assigned districts to understand and respond to community engagement needs/or emerging concerns locally
  • Work with the communications team for communicating with communities’ activities and timely dissemination of media products to affected populations.
  • Gather community feedback with the field teams and submit data files daily to the Feedback Officer to be included in the Feedback Registry and Respond to inquiries as appropriate and flag for follow up those requiring additional assistance. 
  • Develop partnership development by supporting VDC feedback committees and Local Government Unit consultations in gathering feedback throughout the project 
  • Ensure coordination and ongoing interagency collaboration with community and humanitarian agencies by attending community engagement meetings in district
  • Support project reporting through regular monitoring and evaluation of indicators and outcomes.
