Communication Specialist

Communication Specialist (1)

Key Responsibilities: The Communication Specialist is responsible to contribute to strategic engagement to World Vision's communications across Nepal to: Develop and manage evidence-based high-quality content to engage the public and contribute to resource generation for strategy execution and impact. Build the reputation and influence of WVI Nepal through mainstream and social media to mobilize the public for social and policy change. Contribute as emergency communication focal in amplifying the voice of disaster-affected communities during an event of a disaster. 

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required: Master's degree in Mass Communications/ Journalism or equivalent with at least five years of professional experience in communications or media relations. Proven English language fluency (written and verbal). Excellent writing skills, with photographic and/or video skills. Knowledge of advocacy, development, and relief work. Understanding of media in Nepal. Knowledge and skills in interpersonal and cross-cultural communication. Understanding of children's issues in Nepal and general experience in project management, with specific experience in the production of diverse and creative communications projects including publications, multi-media, websites/pages, photo, and video reports, etc.
