Job Description

Objective: to capture and document learning of good and no so good practices of the PERIP and regular development project implemented by partners of CBM Nepal Country Office

Major Responsibilities

  • Establish a documentation and communication system and act as the lead for program and organisational documentation and develop communication materials for different stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly/bi-annual/annual reports and communication materials for CBM country office.
  • Act as focal person of country knowledge management strategy for sharing learning across CBM.
  • Conduct field visits and document success stories/case studies 
  • Liaise with Regional Office to update CBM NCO webpage with necessary information and data on country programs and projects.
  • Provide support where required for meetings including assisting with the preparation of agenda, collation of papers, taking and drafting of minutes and chasing follow-up actions to deadline. 
  • Train staff of strategic partner organisations to improve their skills on documentation of field experiences, lessons learnt, success story and case studies.
  • Facilitation of interregional learning and exchange
  • Documenting and sharing of experiences and good practices followed in partners organisations.
  • Develop a good working relationship and knowledge of partner portfolio to identify strengths, capacities, needs, potentials.
  • Identify needs and provide support to organise trainings and other capacity building initiatives for partners in a time bound manner.
  • Initiate and support development of innovative projects/ programmes in consultation with partners.
  • Support partners in improving learning and sharing mechanisms in their projects
  • Promote culture of two way learning in the organisation

Education and Experience

  • Graduate/ Post Graduate degree in mass communication, social work/rural development and rural management/social sciences
  • 2-3 years of working experience in the NGOs and international agencies particularly in communication and documentation.

Professional 

  • Technical 
  • Good communication skills in English (oral & written) and Nepali
