Roles and responsibilities of this job
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will hold a strategic leadership role, overseeing all financial functions of the organization. Based in Bhairahawa, Nepal, the CFO will report directly to the Managing Director and the Board of Directors. Key responsibilities include financial planning, risk management, reporting, and driving the financial strategy to support sustainable growth and operational excellence.
Strategic Financial Planning, Reporting, Oversight, and Control
Lead the formulation and execution of the Annual Business Plan (ABP) and financial budgeting aligned with strategic objectives; provide forward-looking financial guidance to support key business decisions and enhance long-term profitability.
Collaborate with the board to identify and pursue revenue growth opportunities and operational efficiencies; advise on corporate structuring, financial planning, and tax strategies to ensure financial sustainability.
Serve as the primary liaison for investors, participating in meetings and site visits, and ensuring timely delivery of all investor-related requirements, including monthly and quarterly financial reports, ESG disclosures, and other operational documentation.
Champion a performance-driven culture within the Finance & Accounts function, promoting accountability and results; ensure timely preparation and dissemination of quarterly and annual financial statements, MIS, and other reports to the Board, executive management, and stakeholders.
Review and authorize all critical financial documents before submission to banks, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities.
Collaborate with internal auditors to strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks.
Provide strategic direction and support during statutory and internal audits to ensure compliance and transparency.
Operations Management
Champion the implementation of robust and scalable systems and processes (SOPs) across all departments to drive efficiencies and reduce operational friction; leverage data analytics to monitor performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
Work closely with the Managing Director to manage client relationships, negotiate contract terms with existing clients, develop new client networks, and ensure adherence to agreed contracts.
Oversee compliance with procurement policies, particularly concerning raw material purchases, and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
Lead the execution of the company & expansion strategy, including launching new product lines, enhancing distribution networks, and promoting the SRF brand.
Establish and nurture trusted relationships with key partners, suppliers, and stakeholders, serving as a primary point of contact.
Fund Management
Advise the board on debt and equity financing whenever required.
Lead the fund management and coordination process and liaise with banks or any other financial providers when needed.
Deal with banking and financial institutions regarding sanctions, disbursement, tenure, bank guarantees, repayment timelines, and other documentation.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a relevant field of study (candidates with CA qualification are preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role, preferably in a manufacturing company.
Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Nepali.
Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to lead and foster a healthy and safe work environment.
Proven working experience with business stakeholders, banking institutions, and investors.
