Title: Global Delivery Manager – Accounting Production Team
Location: Nepal – Hybrid
Reports to: Director of Accounting Services
Team: 20–30 accountants, from Staff Accountant to Accounting Manager
Serves: NOW CFO U.S. consultants and the Market Ambassadors who own those relationships
Schedule: Full time, 9 AM to 6 PM on Mon/Wed/Fri (onsite at office), 12:45 PM to 9:45 PM on Tue/Thu (work from home)

The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced accounting manager whose passion is leading people to world-class performance. You will guide our centralized accounting delivery team, a team of 20–30 accountants who deliver ongoing production accounting for NOW CFO U.S. clients under managed accounting services agreements.

You will lead and develop accounting professionals, oversee quality and delivery, manage capacity and resource allocation, and help create consistent, scalable ways of working.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys managing and developing people, solving operational challenges, and improving how work gets done. You will work closely with market leaders while building a strong team that can grow with the business.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop the team

Lead, coach, and develop 20–30 accountants, a team of accounting professionals across different experience levels.
Set clear expectations, give regular feedback, and hold people accountable for quality and deadlines.
Recognize good work and build a culture of ownership, encouragement, and steady growth.
Address performance issues early, fairly, and with respect.
Support hiring, onboarding, training, and retention of accounting talents.

Own delivery quality and consistency

Ensure accounting work is completed accurately, consistently, and on time.
Establish practical review standards, processes, and quality control systems.
Monitor deadlines, workload, quality, and productivity.
Identify recurring issues and address their root causes.
Step in to resolve escalations quickly and calmly.

Manage Capacity and Resources

Assist Market Ambassadors in the transition of new managed accounting clients to the production team.
Monitor team capacity and workload across multiple clients and markets.
Allocate resources based on priorities, skills, deadlines, and business needs.
Anticipate staffing requirements as the business grows.
Balance workloads and identify potential capacity or delivery risks early.
Work with market leaders to ensure the right resources are available for new and existing work.

Partner with Market Ambassadors

Work closely with U.S. market leaders to understand client needs and delivery expectations.
Support the transition of new work into the accounting delivery team.
Ensure processes, responsibilities, deadlines, and client-specific requirements are clearly understood.
Communicate proactively about progress, risks, capacity, and opportunities.
Build strong relationships through reliable follow-through and clear communication.

Improve processes and use technology

Standardize workflows so the team works the same reliable way across clients.
Work with internal teams to maintain clear documentation and procedures.
Identify and implement appropriate technology, automation, and AI solutions.
Use data and reporting to identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and capacity.
Resources planning such as allocation, visualization, and efficiency.

Be a Hands-On Leader

This is a hands-on leadership role. You should be comfortable getting into the details when needed, coaching your people through challenges, removing obstacles, and helping the team succeed.

Your role is not to do all the accounting yourself. Your impact will come from building capable people, creating strong processes, and ensuring the team consistently delivers quality work.

What success looks like

First 90 days

Know every team member, their strengths, and their development needs.
Understand each client’s monthly cycle and where quality or timing breaks down.
Build trusted working relationships with the Market Ambassadors you support.
Put a simple tracking view in place for deadlines, workload, and quality issues.

First year

Month-end closes and recurring work delivered on time, with fewer errors and rework.
Consistent processes and review standards across all clients.
New work is transitioned smoothly with minimal disruption.
Meaningful process or technology improvements reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
The team is stable, engaged, and prepared to support continued growth.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Professional Certification

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

Qualifications Required:

CA, ACCA, CPA, or similar professional qualifications.
10+ years of accounting experience, with deep working knowledge of AR, AP, payroll, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close, enough to review work, coach others, and spot problems early.
5+ years leading accounting teams, ideally 15 or more people across multiple levels.
Proven project management skills: managing many deadlines and clients at once.
Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and U.S. accounting practices.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Familarity with cloud accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or NetSuite.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Preferred

An MBA is a plus.
Experience in an outsourced accounting, BPO, or shared services environment serving U.S. clients.
Experience introducing automation, workflow tools, or AI into accounting processes.
Experience building quality control or review programs.
Experience in people development and proven leadership, preferably in large consulting or service-oriented firms.
