The Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) is inviting applications from highly qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Job Summary

The Chief Executive Officer at NATTA will be responsible for leading the organization, implementing strategic initiatives, ensuring financial stability, fostering industry partnerships, and promoting growth within the travel and tourism sector. The ideal candidate should possess a combination of leadership, industry expertise, and business acumen and can effectively collaborate with the elected board members of the association, fostering a harmonious working relationship that contributes to the overall success of NATTA. The qualifications outlined below will help ensure the selection of a highly capable and experienced CEO.

Job Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field). A Master's degree or higher is preferred.
  • Proven executive-level experience in a travel-related organization, with a minimum of 5 years for Masters or above degree holders and 10 years for Bachelor’s degree holders.
  • Strong knowledge of the travel and tourism industry, including familiarity with current trends, challenges, and opportunities specific to Nepal.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, drive change, and achieve organizational objectives.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and represent NATTA effectively.
  • Strong business acumen, including financial management, strategic planning, and partnership development.
  • Demonstrated track record in driving innovation, implementing transformative initiatives, and delivering results.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in English and Nepali, both written and verbal

Other Specification

  • Should be a Nepali National
  • Should be above 35 years
  • Should have competence in computer skills, especially in English and Nepali typing and preparing presentations
  • Should be fluent in English (written and oral)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead NATTA in setting strategic goals and objectives, aligning them with the organization's vision and mission
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to promote the growth and development of the travel and tourism industry in Nepal
  • Foster relationships and collaborations with government bodies, industry stakeholders, and international organisations
  • Ensure the financial stability and sustainability of NATTA through sound financial management and revenue generation strategies
  • Represent NATTA at national and international forums, conferences, and events, advocating for the organization's interests
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of NATTA, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services to members
