Job Purpose:

Reporting and working closely with the Chairman, the CEO will be responsible for all the operations and business activities to ensure that the desired results are delivered and consistent with the strategy and mission of the organization. The CEO will ensure that the company growth is achieved in a profitable and responsible manner.

Essential Function and Basic Duties:

  • Responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company by working closely with Chairman and the executive management team to establish long term goals, strategies, plans and policies
  • Inspire and deliver a digital transformation and modernize CHN social enterprise model
  • Continue to build on the reputation of the company as an innovative force for change in tourism sector
  • Make high-level decisions about policy and strategy
  • Develop and implement operational policies and a strategic plan.
  • Act as the primary spokesperson for the company
  • Spearhead projects and actions to enhance the company’s cash flow while keeping the human factor in perspective to drive the company’s development and guide it towards long-term success
  • Establishing goals for each department in partnership with division manager
  • Develop the company’s culture and overall company vision
  • Create an environment that promotes great performance and positive morale
  • Assure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations
  • Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company
  • Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations
  • Oversee day-to-day operation of the company
  • Work closely with the human resource department to ensure great hiring
  • Prepare marketing plan, business plan and financial models with assistance from other departments

Intent and Function of Job Description:

Job Description assists the Community Home stay Network in ensuring that the hiring process is fairly administered and that qualified employees are selected. They are also essential to an effective appraisal system and related promotions, transfer and termination decisions. Job descriptions are an integral part of any effective compensation system. All descriptions have been reviewed to ensure that only essential and basic duties have been included. Key results areas are to be agreed upon between the supervisor and the jobholder as per the requirement of the job, which shall be an integral part of the performance management system.

Key Performance Behavior:

This is an exciting role leading an enterprising organization with significant community impact. The ideal candidates will be digitally savvy, creative thinker and passionate about social change with corporate management experience and a proven track record for effective team management and results-driven leadership. In addition, the following performance behavior is expected from the CEO:

  • Continue to build a socially enterprising culture in the organisation that creates social impact and financial value
  • Understanding of human resources and personnel management
  • Experience with corporate governance

  • Ability to inspire confidence and create trust
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively and delegate

Qualification & Experience:

  • Preferably, Master’s degree in Management or Tourism 
  • At least five (5) years of proven exposure in senior management position. The requirement may be waived based on the candidate

Skills /Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
  • A fast learner and a multi-Tasker is highly preferred Well Organized
