Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records and documentation.
Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Oversee tax planning and compliance, ensuring timely filing of all tax returns.
Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors as needed.
Perform financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Monitor financial performance and identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Coordinate the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing forecasts.
Track financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies and plans.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and sustainability.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 5 years

Other Specification

Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, or ACCA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Comprehensive understanding of financial regulations and standards.
Familiarity with tax laws and compliance requirements in Nepal.
