The ACNS (https://autismnepal.org/) is an active autism organization in Nepal led by parents of individuals with autism. It is a non-profit, non-political, non-governmental organization registered with the District Administration Office (Registration No. 1067/2065) and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC No: 25314). Since its inception on 2 April 2008, on "World Autism Awareness Day," it has been actively engaged in autism awareness programs, advocating for the rights of individuals with autism and capacity building of individuals with autism, their parents and caregivers in Nepal. The organisation provides assessment and diagnostic services, intervention programs, parent training and counselling, a special education program, vocational training for adults with autism, and capacity building for health, educational, and other paraprofessionals.

Required:

Should have completed a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, education, nursing or any other related disciplines

Proficiency in relevant software and documentation tools
Adherence to ethical guidelines and principles of confidentiality

Preferable:

6 months of training in psychosocial counselling from a reputed institution
Experience of working with individuals with Neurodevelopmental disability and their families

Job Description

The CST Facilitator will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:

Receive training and achieve competency in delivering Caregiver skills training (CST Program) for families of children with developmental delays or disabilities
Attend the supervision and refresher training sessions delivered by the CST Trainers/Supervisors.
Prepare, plan, and Deliver sessions to families during training and beyond
Efficiently manage group sessions including documentation of the sessions
Support the NAMASTE team in the field implementation of the program along with the CST Team
Co-ordinate with the community-based facilitators for the delivery of the CST services
Make frequent field visits and conduct meetings with external stakeholders/ authorities
Liaison with external bodies and government authorities on the district/Municipality
Collaborate with the ACNS and NAMASTE team to track and assist with project activities and timelines
Establish and maintain coordination with relevant stakeholders and service providers for project implementation within Godawari Municipality.
