Location: Based in Kathmandu with field visits (up to 75%)

The incumbent will be responsible:

• Facilitate Organisation Capacity Assessments (OCA) and Advocacy Capacity Assessment of CSOs
  
• Provide technical backstopping through regular coaching and mentoring to implement assessment plans
• Facilitate to identify advocacy issues and support CSOs to carry out their advocacy plan in collaboration with district level coalition, civil society and stakeholders
• Support CSOs to conduct public policy advocacy to strengthen public services delivery and resources use
• Support CSOs to improve civil society and media capacity for effective policy advocacy and government engagement by enhancing their skills in designing and implementing advocacy initiative and participatory evidence-based action research
• Support CSOs and media organisations in developing networking, peer learning sharing, volunteers’ mobilization, mainstreaming GESI and public service oversight

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in social science, management or relevant field
  
• Minimum 3/5 years of experience in governance, organisation development, advocacy and have knowledge and understanding on advocacy campaign, government engagement, social accountability tools
• Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge through training, mentoring and coaching is required
