Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Business Development Officer plays a critical role in driving the company’s growth by identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and supporting strategic initiatives. The BDO acts as the bridge between clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth communication, timely delivery of services, and contribution to the organization’s overall objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research, networking, and client engagement.
Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve growth targets.
Conduct market research to identify potential customers, new market segments, and competitor activities.
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates for management.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and client interactions in CRM or other systems.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategy.
Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to overall revenue growth.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms in coordination with management.
Coordinate with internal departments (finance, operations, technical teams) for inputs required in proposals and business documents.
Prepare, review, and maintain business-related documentation, including proposals, presentations, MOUs, and contracts.
Conduct frequent field visits to ongoing projects, local bodies, potential clients, and existing customers to understand their needs.
Provide feedback and suggestions to management on potential growth areas and market opportunities.
Represent the company professionally in client meetings, events, and industry forums.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role is preferred.
Fresh graduates with excellent communication skills are welcome to apply.

Preferred Skills & Competencies:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong persuasion, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
Result-oriented with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience in using CRM or sales tracking tools is a plus.
Valid two-wheeler license preferred.
Experience in meeting or exceeding sales targets is an advantage.
Willingness to travel for client meetings, field visits, and market research as required.
