Job Description

  • Understanding the needs of multiple stakeholders and facilitating the negotiation of requirements among them
  • Identifying the current- and future-state business processes
  • Creating, analyzing, and validating detailed functional specifications
  • Delivering elements of systems design, including data migration rules, business rules, wire frames, or other detailed deliverable
  • Ability to problem solve and apply methodologies such as Unified Modeling Language/Rational Unified Process/etc. to prepare detailed specifications using case statements and related documentation
  • People skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically with stakeholders and communicate changes that may not be aligned with the original expectations
  • Knowledge of proper requirements specification and development, such as process/functional requirements definition methods, use case development/User Story process flow diagrams
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall Methodologies
  • Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation
  • Responsible for project planning and resource management
  • Keep all parts of the process organized and running according to project plan
  • Communicate between various teams internally, setting times and dates for meetings to keep on schedule, and relay any issues with timelines or budgets to the line manager
  • Ensure that each team member has the tools they need to meet project milestones
  • Create project schedules that include materials estimates and manpower needs to be submitted to management
  • Build a strong team by cultivating relationships between each team member and illustrating how individual team members affect the success of the entire project
