Position Overview

A Biomedical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing medical equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. The role includes routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and keeping accurate service records. They support healthcare teams by ensuring all biomedical devices function efficiently and meet required standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, calibrate, inspect, maintain, and repair a wide range of biomedical equipment (e.g., patient monitors, ventilators, defibrillators, infusion pumps, diagnostic equipment).
• Perform preventive maintenance according to established schedules and manufacturer guidelines.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions promptly to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and equipment inventory in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Provide technical training and support to clinical staff on the safe and proper use of equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
• Assist in the evaluation and technical specification of new medical equipment.
