Roles and responsibilities of this job

Department: Engineering / Billing & Contracts
Reports To: Project Manager / Senior Engineer
Location: Project Site / Head Office (as assigned)

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and verify client and subcontractor bills with accurate measurements.
Maintain measurement sheets, rate analysis, and reconciliation statements.
Identify extra items and prepare variation orders for client approval.
Coordinate with site engineers, planning, and accounts teams for billing-related issues.
Assist in budget tracking, cash flow, and final account preparation.
Ensure all billing documentation complies with contract and audit requirements.
Attend joint measurement and billing verification meetings with clients or consultants.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Experience Required: 3–5 Years
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech) from a recognized university.
Must be registered with Nepal Engineering Council (NEC).
Additional training in Quantity Surveying / Contract Management will be an advantage.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

The candidate should have hands-on experience in:

Preparation of Bills – Client bills, Subcontractor bills, RA Bills, and Final Bills.
Quantity Measurement – Verifying site work quantities with drawings and BOQ.
Rate Analysis – As per Department of Roads (DoR), MoPIT, or Standard Bidding Document (SBD) norms.
Variation Orders / Extra Items – Identify deviations from original scope.
Prepare Variation Statements, Cost Impact Analysis, and Supporting Documents.
Coordinate with clients/consultants for approval and certification.
Material Reconciliation – Cement, steel, aggregates, bitumen, etc.
Price Adjustment & Escalation Claims – as per contract clauses (PPA/PPR 2064 or FIDIC).

Software Skills

AutoCAD (for measurement and drawing verification)
MS Excel & Word (for billing formats and rate analysis)
Familiarity with ERP or accounting software preferred.

Soft Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills (in English and Nepali).
Accuracy, numerical efficiency, and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good coordination and team management skills.

Salary Range: As per company policy and experience.
