Bakers (Pastry, Bread & Sandwich)

We are hiring bakery production team members with hands-on experience in pastry preparation, bread/bagel baking, and sandwich prep/assembly. This role suits someone who can work efficiently, follow standardized recipes, and maintain consistent product quality in a fast-growing start-up café environment. Responsibilities may cover one or multiple production areas based on daily needs and team structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce pastries and desserts (e.g., cookies, brownies, cakes, muffins, tarts), including fillings, creams, frostings, glazes, and finishing/presentation
• Prepare and bake breads and bagels, including dough preparation, mixing, proofing, shaping, baking, and maintaining consistent texture and quality
• Prepare and assemble sandwiches and café food items, including ingredient prep (vegetables, spreads, sauces, proteins), accurate portioning, and consistent presentation
• Follow standard recipes, weights, portion control, and packing/display guidelines to ensure consistency across all items
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen/prep areas, tools, equipment, and storage spaces throughout the day
• Follow hygiene, food safety, and workplace protocols at all times (labeling, FIFO, proper storage temperatures, avoiding cross-contamination)
• Coordinate with barista and service teams during peak hours to ensure timely production and smooth order flow
• Support daily opening/closing duties, prep plans, production counts, and basic stock checks as assigned
• Minimize wastage by managing ingredient use, storage, and daily production planning
• Support training of junior staff and contribute to improving workflow and product standards when required
