Purpose of the Position:
UON has been implementing a special project since 2019, it is designed to provide advice & information in safe and comfortable environment for youth (especially care-leavers) in Kathmandu, mainly focused on providing services for those in +2, or in that or the surrounding age brackets. It is called the “Chautari Youth Club” and provides a space where young people can come on an informal basis, and access information and support on a number of subjects – but with a focus on encouraging young people who are not employed or in education to re-enter one of those fields. A number of other support services and activities will be facilitated from this youth centre.
Assistant Youth Officer working in CYC will be expected to be a source of knowledge for a range of subjects, for example SRH, career/education pathways, peer pressure, consent, gender + sexuality, drug/alcohol abuse.

Terms of Contract:
The initial contract for the above vacancy will be for one year, with the option to extend based on the performance and availability of funding.
Salary will be as per the pay scale of organization with all benefits stated in the Labour Act 2074.
