Established in August 2014, Himalaya Airlines is a Nepal - China joint venture, providing international air services. As the name ‘Himalaya’ symbolizes high mountains of Nepal, dedicated in service to uplift the name of the nation, Himalaya Airlines aspires to rise up in its name to international standards. With the aim to excel in safety, on time performance (OTP) and most primarily, in service to its customers, H9 has already established itself in Nepal with high recognition.

Presently H9 operates to five destinations - Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Doha, Dubai, and Kuala Lumpur. The airline proudly owns a young fleet of 3 Airbus A320-214 series of narrow-body aircraft with the configuration of 8 Premium Economy class & 150 Economy class seats. For year 2019, the airline plans to focus on China connectivity by adding up Beijing to its destination network and eventually extending to other cities like Nanchang, Wuhan, Changsha, Nanning etc. Airline also has plans to acquire A319 for flying to high altitude destinations like Lhasa.

H9 received its first international award for “Leading New International Airlines in South Asia” at South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) 2017. This award honors the efforts undertaken towards developing high standard of services and expanding network and has given a tremendous boost to H9 family to excel further and rise higher in the aviation sector.

Himalaya Airlines’ in-flight entertainment system offers passengers with latest blockbuster movies, music, TV shows and documentaries etc. Passengers flying with Himalaya Airlines can also spend their quality time reading through the in-flight magazine – Danfe. Following the genuine Nepalese tradition of “Atithi Devo Bhava” – Guest is God, H9 strives to provide true Nepali Hospitality to its esteemed passengers.

Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain all training records of pilots in individual folders and digital soft copy.
  • Ensure all training forms, check and test reports are submitted by respective examiners/trainers immediately after completion of training.
  • Check that all training reports and forms are correctly completed in all respects as per company requirements.
  • Submit course completion report to Manager Training and report any deficiency or shortfall.
  • Recommend improvements to the process and functioning.
  • Ensure that all pilots have valid licenses and medical as appropriate. 
  • Send all required documents well in time to CAAN for license issue and renewal.
  • Liaise with CAAN for quick disposal of cases.
  • Ensure that no pilot is grounded due to delay in license renewal. 
  • Inform concerned pilots, crew scheduling & training two months in advance by email of expiry of any license, checks, simetc
  • Prepare Monthly Report on planned and achieved tasks, number of licenses applied for, licenses approved, time taken for each activity and reasons of delay beyond established time lines. Report should also indicate the licenses/medical/checks due in the next two months.
