Job Description

We are looking for an assistant project manager who has a background in business management, and a strong knowledge of accounting and construction management. They will work with the project manager/director to help oversee and plan the construction of current and future projects. Their tasks will include basic bookkeeping, monitoring progress, facilitating meetings and site visits, as well as helping with promotion and marketing.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education: Preferred MBA student with a good knowledge of basic accounting and construction management. Bachelors in business administration, construction management, civil engineering or accounting is also preferred.

Skills: Considerable knowledge of basic accounting practices (familiar accounting software, able to compute balance sheets, etc.), fluency in English and Nepali, strong writing skills, proficient with Excel and Word, knowledge of engineering softwares is preferred.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the project manager/director to oversee the construction from beginning till completion.
  • Plan project timelines, keep a track of the schedule of deliverables, and estimate costs
  • Record and review payments made from the project and corporate office
  • Review and prepare work progress report on daily and weekly basis
  • Plan and make agenda for meetings with architect, board of directors, and the rest of the project team
  • Research and help source building materials, especially for interiors. Create project budget with cost of materials.
  • Research and review the travel and luxury hotel industry to identify trends.
  • Draft correspondence emails to potential business operators.
  • Develop promotional brochures and media for the property.
