Reports To: Manager, Finance 
Duty Station: Kathmandu

Job Brief:  

This position performs clerical activities such as accounting entry, answering queries on policyholder related payment and sorting and filing documents. The position also contributes on preparation of reports and reconciliations. 

Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assisting the supervisor for maintaining overall accounting function within the finance department
• Ensuring compliance of regulatory and other applicable laws & requirements relating to tax submission preparation of tax reports, tax clearance statements after proper review & approval from supervisor
• Computer literate (Accounting Software, Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Responsible for ensuring that all payments are performed in accordance with MetLife policies and other applicable policies & procedures
• Assisting in preparation of management reports as per requirement
• Regular reporting to the supervisor and HOD on aspects of payment to policyholders and vendors
• Strong written and verbal communications skills, including listening and learning
• Perform special assignments as directed by the supervisor & HOD and provides support to special projects requested by local management when necessary
• Follow & demonstrate proficiency in the performance of accounting
