About the role

You will own the order-to-dispatch chain for both our distribution and project business — the single point at which an order becomes a delivery, and the person who chases everything in between. The role runs on organisation and follow-up rather than hierarchy, and it carries real accountability for delivery commitments.

What you’ll do

Own order processing end to end: receipt, validation, credit-check routing, stock allocation, dispatch scheduling and customer confirmation
Follow up every open quotation until it converts or is formally closed; maintain the live quotation register
Coordinate across Supply Chain, Finance, Credit Control and Projects, escalating blockages same-day
Serve distribution and projects on equal terms, against monthly service levels agreed with the Projects team
Own the customer commitment: if a delivery date is given, you are accountable for it being met or renegotiated in time
Maintain the channel partner and customer master, price lists and scheme records
Handle order, dispatch and documentation queries; route product quality issues to Quality Assurance
Supervise the Executive – Dispatch & Billing and ensure same-day invoicing against dispatch
Produce the weekly order-book and pending-dispatch report for the Head of Sales and the CEO
Flag recurring failure points in the order chain and propose fixes
