Assistant. Manager – Production Planning & BOM

About the role

You will turn the sales requirement into a production plan and own the bill of materials that cost, purchasing and margin all depend on. If you enjoy the point where planning, materials and product costing meet, this is that seat.

What you’ll do

• Prepare and maintain the monthly, weekly and daily production plan against forecast, order book and stock cover
• Own BOM creation, accuracy, version control and change management for every product
• Raise material requirements to Supply Chain with adequate lead time
• Own standard material cost per product, feeding landed-cost and margin work in Commercial Finance
• Track plan against actual and analyse variance — output, material consumption, schedule adherence
• Manage finished-goods and work-in-progress stock cover against agreed norms
• Coordinate new product introduction: BOM creation, material planning, pilot-run scheduling
• Maintain planning data — lead times, batch sizes, yields, routings — as accurate live data
• Report weekly on plan adherence, stock cover and material variance
