Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant HR Officer to support the daily functions of our Human Resources department. The ideal candidate will assist with recruitment, employee relations, HR documentation, and administrative support while helping to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Location: Himalayan Java Coffee
Reports To: HR Manager / Senior HR Officer
Employment Type: Full-time 9am - 5pm

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding of new hires.
Maintain and update employee records (both digital and physical) in compliance with internal policies and labor laws.
Support the coordination and execution of HR initiatives, training programs, and employee engagement activities.
Prepare and manage HR documents such as employment contracts, letters, and internal communications.
Address employee queries regarding HR policies, attendance, leaves, and other general concerns.
Monitor employee attendance and leave records using HR software or manual systems.
Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonuses, leaves, etc.).
Support performance management processes and documentation.
Ensure confidentiality and safe handling of sensitive HR information.
Stay updated with labor law changes and HR best practices.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
1–2 years of experience in an HR or administrative role preferred.
Candidates should have a vehicle and a valid driving license.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Familiarity with HRIS or HR software is an advantage.
Discretion and professionalism are required when handling confidential information.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Note: Candidate must have a 2-wheeler vehicle with a valid license.
