About the organization

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH invites applications from suitable and qualified professionals for Green Resilient Agricultural-Centred Private Sector Development (GRAPE II). GRAPE II is a joint Nepali-German Project under the guidance of the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation (MoLCPA), Government of Nepal, with Technical Assistance by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The overall objective of the Project is to strengthen gender-equitable and climate-resilient economic development in Nepal.
The project focuses on five key areas:
Business Development: Supporting new and existing Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized enterprises (MSMEs) that contribute positively to climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, youth empowerment and gender equality.
Entrepreneurial Ecosystems: Developing climate-resilient and biodiversity-friendly value chains and markets through partnerships.
Local Economic Governance: Promoting gender-responsive and climate-resilient economic development through improved local governance.
Awareness Raising: Sensitizingactors in the entrepreneurial ecosystem to the role of women in economic development.
Scaling Innovation: Expanding successful practices, tools and technologies for gender-equitable and climate-resilient economic development.
