In addition, KOSHISH is also working in system strengthening and creating a model that the government and other stakeholders may able to replicate.

Travel required: This position is supposed to oversee the project implemented in Surkhet. Thus, also frequent travel to Surkhet and central office as per requirement.

  • Empathy with mental health
  • Knowledge of accounting software

  • Good command of written and spoken English and Nepali language.

Job Description

The Admin and Finance Officer-1 will be overall responsible for the overall financial management, accounting, budgeting, book-keeping, and preparing financial reports for the aforementioned project.  

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Administration: 

  • Maintain and update fixed assets register and inventory of stock of field offices on a regular basis.
  • Support to administrative and logistics requirements of the projects.
  • Coordinate with local government agencies for the compliance required by the organization and projects.
  • Maintain and update leave records of field staff and update to the central office on a regular basis.
  • Support in the monitoring framework of KOSHISH and conduct periodic monitoring visits to project areas of the specific projects.
  • Maintenance of filling and documentation at field level and report to center. 
  • Proper documentation of Project Compliances.

Finance: 

  • Maintain financial and accounting system of the projects efficiently.
  • Review and check the reimbursement/settlement requests of staff, vendors, and consultants.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the data entered into software and document properly on timely basis.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports and budget forecast.
  • Prepare monthly bank/cash reconciliations statement.
  • Identify issues in accounting and discuss with supervisor for possible resolution.
  • Ensure internal control over the field office as per the admin/finance guidelines of KOSHISH.
  • Update project-specific variance status and issues to line manager and project officer/coordinator.
  • Facilitate to external and internal financial audits of the organization.
  • Deposit tax obligation of the organization on timely basis and filing of ETDS on monthly basis.
  • Handle petty cash of the projects
  • Other duties assigned as per the organization
