POURAKHI Nepal is an NGO of women migrant workers, was established in 2003 with the objective of ensuring the right of women migrant workers in the entire process of foreign labor migration; namely through pre-employment, pre-departure, employment and post arrival support programs. Advocacy at policy level and policy reformation are also major focus.

Pourakhi Nepal is one of the Implementing Partners of ILO Nepal for implementing “Work in Freedom” (WIF) since 2014, aiming to reduce vulnerability to forced labour and labour trafficking by supporting mobility by choice among women and girls from South Asian countries of origin (e.g. India, Bangladesh and Nepal), more accountable recruitment pathways and better jobs with safety and dignity of workers in destination countries (e.g. India, Lebanon, Jordan, Oman, Kuwait) through multi-sectoral policy measures. 

In this regard, Pourakhi Nepal is seeking a candidate with the required qualifications and competencies to apply for this position.

Admin and Finance Officer

Duty Station: Based at POURAKHI Nepal Office and frequent field visits in project areas. 

Duration: up to 16 April 2021 (Possibility of extension) 

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Under overall supervision of the program head, Finance and Administrative Officer will provide overall finance management and administrative support for smooth implementation of the project
  • Maintain day to day admin/finance activities, procurement, office logistic and other necessary activity, logistic arrangement in organizing workshops and trainings
  • Prepare vouchers; carry out data entry in computerized accounting system, filing, handle petty cash, banking transactions, payments etc.
  • Prepare bank/cash reconciliation and other financial statements as required, financial reporting to donor and government; prepare annual financial reporting for audit purpose

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Candidate should have bachelor degree in business administration or equivalent with minimum 3-years of work experiences in relevant field (I/NGOs or other organizations)
  • Knowledge of TAX , VAT with GoN rules and regulations, program budget, preparation of work plans, financial reporting, procurement and other financial system
  • Experienced in computers software of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Office, PowerPoint accounting package
  • Fluency in spoken and written in English and Nepali languages
