Department: Finance & Accounts
Reports To: Accounts Manager / CFO
Position Level: Officer

Job Purpose

We are seeking an Accounts Officer to perform and maintain day-to-day accounting, financial record-keeping, reconciliation, documentation, and reporting activities accurately and on time, in accordance with the Company's accounting policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Daily Accounting & Bookkeeping

Record and post daily financial transactions in the accounting/ERP system.
Prepare and maintain accounting vouchers, journal entries, payment vouchers, receipt vouchers, purchase and sales entries, and other accounting documents.
Verify invoices, bills, receipts, supporting documents, and necessary approvals before recording transactions.
Maintain General Ledger and subsidiary ledger records as assigned.
Ensure proper classification and coding of accounting transactions.
Identify incomplete or unusual transactions and report them to the Accounts Manager.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than 4 years

Key Performance Areas (KPA)

Accuracy of accounting entries and documentation.
Timely completion of assigned accounting work.
Accuracy and timeliness of reconciliations.
Proper maintenance of supplier and customer accounts.
Accuracy of tax and statutory accounting records.
Proper accounting of import, export, and LC transactions.
Accuracy of inventory and manufacturing accounting records.
Timely preparation of audit schedules and supporting documents.
Compliance with Company accounting policies and internal controls.
Proper maintenance and confidentiality of financial records.

Qualification & Experiences

Education: Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Commerce, or a related field.
Minimum Experience: 4 years in relevant experience in accounting and finance is preferred, particularly in a food manufacturing, manufacturing, trading, or import/export organization. Working knowledge of accounting software/ERP is required.
