Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting knowledge, practical experience in financial reporting, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Prepare and present accurate accounting reports in line with NFRS, applying advanced Excel especially in LC, VAT, Tax and other required reports.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting reporting.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Review payment requests, invoices, and vendor statements.
Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Oversee bank reconciliations and manage relationships with banking partners.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with statutory obligations.
Collaborate with production, sales, and procurement teams.
Collaborate with IT to resolve system issues and implement necessary upgrades.
Prepare and provide financial reports to external stakeholders as required.
Maintain effective communication with suppliers, customers, and service providers.
Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Work Environment:

Office-based role with occasional visits to the factory floor.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Productions, Sales, Procurement, and IT.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree shall be an advantage.
Minimum 2 years of proven experience as an Accounts Officer or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing industry environment.
Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software experience is compulsory with ERP systems is desirable.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Note: Salary is negotiable based on the candidate’s experience and skills.
