Department: Finance & Accounts
Reports To: Chief Finance Officer (CFO)
Position Level: Managerial

Job Purpose

We are seeking an Accounts Manager to manage and supervise the Company's day-to-day accounting operations and ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded, properly supported, reconciled, and reported on time, in accordance with the Company's accounting policies, applicable laws, and instructions of the CFO.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Daily Accounting Operations

Manage and supervise day-to-day accounting activities of the Corporate Office.
Coordinate accounting activities with branches, factories, and other business units.
Ensure timely and accurate posting of receipts, payments, purchases, sales, expenses, journals, and other transactions.
Review accounting vouchers, invoices, bills, receipts, and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
Ensure proper maintenance of General Ledger, subsidiary ledgers, Trial Balance, and accounting schedules.

B. Monthly & Year-End Closing

Coordinate timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing of accounts.
Prepare and review necessary accruals, provisions, depreciation, adjustments, and reconciliation entries.

C. Reconciliation & Account Control

D. Accounts Payable & Receivable

Supervise recording and processing of supplier invoices and payment documents.

E. Banking & Routine Treasury Operations

Maintain records of all bank transactions and prepare bank reconciliation statements.

F. Import, Export & LC Accounting

Maintain accounting records for import and export transactions.
Record and reconcile LCs, supplier advances, import liabilities, bank charges, margins, interest, and related trade-finance transactions.

G. Tax & Statutory Accounting

Prepare information and schedules required for VAT, TDS, income tax, excise duty, and other statutory returns under the supervision of the CFO.
Ensure proper recording and reconciliation of statutory liabilities.
Maintain tax invoices, PAN/VAT records, TDS records, payment records, returns, and supporting documents.

H. Manufacturing & Inventory Accounting

Maintain accounting records relating to raw materials, packaging materials, production, work-in-progress, finished goods, and other inventories.

I. Audit Support

Prepare financial schedules, ledgers, vouchers, reconciliations, and supporting documents required for statutory, tax, internal, and other audits.

Allocate work among accounting staff and monitor timely completion.
Provide guidance and training on accounting procedures and the Company's financial systems.

L. Accounting System & Records

Ensure timely and accurate entry of transactions into the Company's accounting/ERP system.
Review system-generated reports and identify discrepancies.

Qualification & Experience

Education: Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Commerce, or a related field, CA/ACCA/CMA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
Experience: At least 5 Years
Relevant experience in accounting and finance, preferably in a food manufacturing, manufacturing, trading, or import/export organization, with practical experience in accounting operations, taxation, banking, inventory, costing, LC transactions, reconciliation, and audit support.
