Accounts Manager - 1 Position

Purpose: This position reports to Country Finance Manager. The position holder will be responsible for the effective management of payments, bank management, and account keeping and reporting. The post holder ensures that our suppliers, partners and employee expenses are paid in accurate and timely manner.

Term and Location: 3 years fixed term employment based in Country Office, Lalitpur.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Commerce/ management with specialization in finance or equivalent professional degree from recognized institutes. At least five (5) years’ of relevant work experience in accounts & financial management, out of which at least three (3) years’ should be at the similar job level. Proven experience in dealing with account management of INGO with multiple donors .Should have strong planning, administrative, organizational, personnel and budget management skills. In depth knowledge of financial system, financial management and reporting, income tax and foreign exchange. Should be proficient in using SAP System & MS Office, especially Excel. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee effective accounts management for accurate & timely payments of the stakeholders in compliance with organisations policies and procedure including prevention of frauds and errors.
  • Oversee treasury management to ensure there are no funds scarcity and idle fund
  • Ensure accruals & prepayments are done incompliance with operational manual.
  • As a lead for SAP system financial module, ensure SAP finance functions are correctly and efficiently working. 
  • Ensure correct financial statement
  • Establish adequate internal control system and its effective compliance.
  • Provide supervision, coaching and motivation to the subordinates to enhance their performance capacities and ensure appropriate trainings to upgrade their present level of competencies in financial management.
  • Work closely with the Finance team on internal and external financial review and audits as required.
