- Ensure that all accounting transactions are properly recorded and that all relevant policies and procedures are properly followed and that the accounts are kept up to date.
- Ensure that financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
- Make cash and cheque payments and ensure that there are adequate supportings like bills, etc and proper authorisation for the payments. Post all payment vouchers in the accounting system according to proper accounting systems and policies.
- Compile and analyse financial information to prepare entries to accounts, suchas general ledger accounts and document business transactioins.
- Establish, maintain and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
- Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
- Verify the payroll report submitted by HR Department and make the relevant entries in the accounting system regarding salaries, provident and service charge, etc. Ensure that tax is deducted on salaries as per Income Tax Act and deposit the same.
- Preference will be given to those candidates who have good knowledge of hotel accounting systems and procedures and good knowledge of IDS software.
