Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant and HR Officer to manage both financial and human resource functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Management

Prepare, examine and analyze financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Prepare and analyze financial reports to evaluate firm performance and identify areas for cost reduction or improvement.
Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and trust account transactions.
Prepare, review and process client disbursements, court fee payments, and case-related transactions.
Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) for bookkeeping and reporting.
Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency, effectiveness and use of accepted accounting procedures to record transactions.
Confer with company officials about financial and regulatory matters.
Examine and evaluate financial and information systems, recommending controls to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
Examine records and interviews workers to ensure recording of transactions and compliance with laws and regulations.
Collect and analyze date to detect deficient, controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, Fraud, or non-compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Proven experience in accounting and HR functions, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Experience

At least 3 years of experience in accounting
Intuit QuickBooks experience is preferred.
