With a rich history of achievements and experiences currently it operates as a network of microfinance institutions and is working for the capacity building of the Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) and undertakes study and research on microfinance.

  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in electronic as well as manual book keeping. Experience in working Microsoft access based accounting software will be desirable.
  • Knowledge of reconciliation and income tax.
  • Understanding of NGO contract policies and regulations are an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of basic HR policies and office management.
  • Strong financial management, organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team oriented setting are necessary
  • Fluent communication skill in writing and spoken both in Nepali and English as well as computer skill on same
  • Should be willing to travel to remote districts

Job Description

Accounting:

  • Ensures the smooth, efficient and accurate accounting operations of the office.
  • Maintain project daily accounts and project accounts as per Nepal Accounting Standard.
  • Keep track of expenses and other financial transactions, mainly involving expense entry, tracking, and record keeping.
  • Prepare invoices, write checks for payment.
  • Prepare and submit monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain petty cash account.
  • Coordinates with Training Department to compile and prepare Training Budget and follow up for training income as well as expenses therein.
  • Prepare monthly payroll.

Administration:

  • Oversee property management and maintenance therein.
  • Maintain office inventory and do periodic reviews to ensure optimum stock of consumables and make purchase as per office rule.
  • Perform general administrative duties like organizing and maintaining office files and records, photocopies, making logistic arrangements and operating office equipment.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, preparing agendas and meeting minutes.
  • Manage daily staff attendance Register and staff leave records.
  • Manage vehicle log books.
  • Typing/editing project related documents.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
