Accountant

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining day-to-day accounting records, verifying sales and purchase transactions, managing customer and supplier ledgers, and ensuring the accuracy of financial documentation. The position will support smooth accounting operations for the company's food repackaging, trading, and distribution activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting records, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and expenses.
• Verify sales invoices, purchase bills, delivery documents, and payment vouchers before recording transactions.
• Maintain customer and supplier ledgers and regularly reconcile outstanding balances.
• Record transactions related to product purchases, packaging materials, transportation, and operating expenses.
• Monitor customer payments and supplier dues and prepare outstanding balance reports.
• Reconcile cash, bank transactions, and accounting records on a regular basis.
• Check sales returns, purchase returns, discounts, and other accounting adjustments.
• Coordinate with the sales, warehouse, procurement, and administration teams to verify transaction details.
• Maintain proper documentation for VAT, TDS, and other applicable tax requirements.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly accounting summaries as required by management.
• Assist in monthly account closing and provide supporting documents during audits.
• Identify discrepancies in bills, ledgers, and transaction records and report them to the concerned authority.
• Maintain organized financial files and ensure the confidentiality of company records.
