Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are looking for a Accountant to manage general accounting, bookkeeping, factory/manufacturing accounting, inventory management, tax-related records, and financial reconciliations. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, monitoring inventory and production costs, preparing TDS and VAT-related data, and coordinating with production and warehouse teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Accounting & Bookkeeping

Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts.
Enter transactions accurately into the company's accounting software.
Record all sales, purchases, expenses, receipts and payments on a daily basis.
Maintain cash book, bank book, journal, ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
Follow up outstanding customer balances and supplier payments.
Ensure proper classification of capital expenditure, revenue expenditure, inventory and other expenses.
Prepare TDS schedules and coordinate timely deposit/filing.
Prepare VAT return data and coordinate timely filing.
Maintain tax-related records and reconciliations.
Maintain employee salary records.
Prepare daily/periodic cash reports.

2. Factory / Manufacturing Accounting

Maintain raw material, packaging material, work-in-progress and finished goods records.
Record material received from suppliers and issued to production.
Maintain production consumption records.
Coordinate with production staff to obtain daily/weekly production data.
Maintain production-related accounting records.
Calculate cost of production.
Determine product-wise/unit-wise manufacturing cost.
Maintain records of production wastage, rejected goods, damaged goods and expired goods.
Reconcile physical inventory with accounting records.
Compare actual production cost with previous periods/budget.

3. Inventory Management

Maintain stock ledger for all raw materials.
Maintain finished-goods stock records.
Record all inward and outward movements of inventory.
Conduct/coordinate periodic physical stock counts.
Prepare stock reconciliation reports.
Ensure proper documentation for stock transfers between production and warehouse.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Higher Secondary (+2/A Levels/IB)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

+2 and above in Accounting, Finance, Management, or related field.
3 Years of relevant accounting experience.
Experience in general, manufacturing, and inventory accounting.
Knowledge of TDS, VAT, production, and inventory records.
Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills.
Knowledge of manufacturing accounting and inventory management.
Knowledge of TDS, VAT, and cost calculation.
Proficiency in accounting software.
Good reconciliation, communication, and coordination skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.

Salary Range: NPR 35,000 per month, negotiable based on experience and qualifications
