Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a qualified, experienced, and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing core financial records, overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring statutory compliance, and preparing accurate financial reports.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily accounting operations, including ledger maintenance and daybook entries.
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement).
Ensure compliance with VAT, TDS, PAN billing, and corporate income tax regulations.
Prepare VAT/PAN bills, sales invoices, and maintain proper billing records.
Conduct customer and vendor ledger reconciliations and obtain balance confirmations.
Perform stock book verification and inventory-related accounting.
Generate monthly sales and purchase reports.
Regularly follow up on outstanding receivables and party dues.
Coordinate with banks regarding Bank Guarantees (BG) and other banking-related matters.
Assist in internal and external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
Support budgeting, financial planning, and variance analysis.
Maintain accurate financial records and recommend process improvements where necessary.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as CA, ACCA, or CPA will be highly preferred.
Minimum 2–3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a trading company.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
Sound knowledge of aging reports, VAT/PAN billing, and sales invoice preparation.
Experience in stock verification and inventory accounting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
Leadership skills with the ability to manage responsibilities effectively.
