Roles and responsibilities of this job

This is a hands-on, impactful accounting role at the heart of our Kathmandu operations. As our Accountant, you will own the full spectrum of factory-level financial operations, from daily transaction recording and inventory reconciliation to statutory compliance and financial reporting. You will work closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams, making you a central figure in keeping our operations financially sound and audit-ready.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Accounting

Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts
Record daily transactions for raw material procurement, processing, and sales
Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
Ensure proper documentation, voucher filing, and supporting document management

Inventory & Stock Accounting

Coordinate with the production team for physical stock verification
Maintain records of raw materials, processed goods, and finished goods
Conduct periodic stock reconciliation and monitor raw material consumption and wastage
Support cost analysis and per-unit production costing

Procurement & Vendor Accounting

Maintain vendor ledgers and ensure timely payment processing
Verify purchase bills, weighbridge slips, and goods receipt notes
Perform periodic supplier account reconciliations

Sales & Receivables

Prepare sales invoices and delivery documentation
Maintain customer ledgers and follow up on outstanding receivables
Reconcile customer accounts regularly

Banking & Cash Handling

Manage petty cash and daily cash transactions
Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements
Monitor factory-level cash flow requirements

Taxation & Compliance

Prepare and file VAT Returns on time
Calculate and file TDS as required
Ensure compliance with Inland Revenue Department (IRD) regulations
Assist with audit preparation and documentation

Reporting & Cross-Team Coordination

Prepare monthly stock and financial reports for management
Coordinate closely with operations, procurement, and logistics teams
Support budgeting exercises and budget-vs-actual analysis

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management (required)
Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, recycling, or trading
Hands-on experience with factory-based or production-level accounting
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or similar)
Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and VAT/TDS compliance in Nepal
