Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing accurate financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Monthly VAT Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns, ensuring compliance with regulations and accuracy of information.
Purchase Bill and Sales Entry: Process purchase and sales invoices, ensuring all entries are recorded accurately in the accounting system.
General Ledger Entries: Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded and reconciled.
Monitor Expenses: Track and analyze company expenses, providing insights to management for budget planning and control.
Basic Banking Knowledge: Manage banking transactions, including reconciliations, deposits, and withdrawals.
VAT Billing: Ensure that all sales invoices are compliant with VAT regulations and accurately reflect VAT charges.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on VAT reporting and compliance.
Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
