Accountant- 2 Positions

Terms and Location:  3 years fixed term employment with possibility of extension based in Sindhuli and Banke Programme Unit

Required Qualifications & Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Business Management or in relevant field
  • At least two (2) years of relevant working experience in the area of accounting
  • An INGO work experiences as a plus
  • Experiences in dealing with audit, tax related matters and issues and foreign exchange
  • Should have knowledge of computer skills especially excel & word
  • Competencies both in spoken and written English and Nepali languages

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively maintain the general ledger, and the books of accounts of the Programme Unit (PU) and Country Office (CO).
  • Process payment requests of PU / CO in accordance with Plan’s financial guidelines and statutory requirements.
  • Periodically perform reconciliations and maintain ledgers of accrual and prepayments.
  • Support in revising quarterly budget/ cash flow forecast accurately within the due date in coordination with the Technical Coordinator / Manager.
  • Support in reviewing financial reports and settlements documents to ensure compliance with the Plan policies and procedures.
