Muktinath Seed Bank Limited is dedicated to promoting sustainable agriculture through the production, distribution, and promotion of high-quality seeds, including hybrid, open-pollinated, and climate-resilient varieties. The company operates across Nepal, building farmer networks with eco-friendly farming practices.

Reports to: Operational Manager / Operational head

Scope of Work / Duties and Responsibilities

a. Financial Record-Keeping

Record and maintain accurate financial transactions, including sales, purchases, payroll, and operational expenses.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments to vendors and collections from clients.
Prepare and maintain general ledgers, journals, and supporting documentation in accordance with standard accounting principles.
Responsible to execute through SAP software operation.

b. Budgeting and Financial Planning

Assist in developing annual budgets and financial projections for seed production, sales, and research activities.
Track budget utilization, monitor expenditures, and report deviations to the operational head.
Conduct cost analyses to support pricing decisions and operational improvements.

c. Financial Reporting

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Provide timely financial reports to the operational head and senior management to inform strategic planning.
Facilitate external audits by preparing required documentation and coordinating with auditors.

d. Compliance and Taxation

Ensure adherence to Nepal’s financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT, income tax, and other applicable taxes, in coordination with relevant authorities.
Maintain audit-ready records and ensure compliance during regulatory inspections.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in agribusiness or a related industry.
Strong understanding of Nepal’s tax laws, financial regulations, and accounting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software (SAP) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Willingness to travel occasionally to operational areas and engage with diverse stakeholders.
Preference for candidates based in Kathmandu / Chitwan.
Valid two-wheeler license with personal vehicle preferred.
