School Sherpa is looking for an experienced Academic Advisor - Curriculum, Assessment & Teacher Training with deep expertise in Nepal’s national curriculum, assessment practices, specification grids, learning outcomes, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and classroom teaching methodologies.

The ideal candidate should have a strong academic and curriculum background, with experience in teacher training, curriculum interpretation, assessment design, and academic leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide academic guidance based on Nepal’s national curriculum, learning outcomes, specification grids, and assessment standards.
Interpret curriculum requirements and help translate them into practical teaching, assessment, remediation, and student support strategies.
Guide teachers and academic teams on the use of Bloom’s Taxonomy in lesson planning, question design, assessment analysis, and measuring student learning levels.
Help identify student learning gaps and recommend appropriate reteaching, remediation, revision, enrichment, and follow-up strategies.
Support the development of curriculum-aligned training materials, teacher guides, assessment frameworks, academic manuals, and report interpretation resources.
Advise on how academic data and assessment results can be interpreted meaningfully to improve classroom instruction and student learning outcomes.
Work with internal teams to ensure academic accuracy, curriculum alignment, assessment validity, and teacher usability of academic resources and outputs.
Conduct teacher workshops, academic orientations, refresher trainings, and school-level capacity-building sessions.
Stay updated on curriculum changes, national education priorities, and best practices in teaching and learning.
Represent the organization as an academic expert in school meetings, training sessions, workshops, and stakeholder discussions.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum Studies, Educational Leadership, Subject Education, Assessment, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in curriculum development, teacher training, academic leadership, assessment, or school improvement.
Strong knowledge of Nepal’s national curriculum, learning outcomes, specification grids, assessment systems, and classroom teaching practices.
Strong understanding of Bloom’s Taxonomy and its application in lesson planning, assessment design, question classification, and learning analysis.
Experience designing or reviewing curriculum-aligned assessments, question papers, teacher resources, or academic training materials.
Experience in a senior academic role such as Academic Head, Curriculum Lead, Teacher Trainer, Academic Coordinator, Principal, Vice Principal, Education Consultant, or similar senior position.
Strong understanding of teaching-learning gaps, remedial teaching, differentiated instruction, formative assessment, and student learning needs.
Excellent communication, facilitation, mentoring, and presentation skills.
Ability to convert academic concepts, curriculum requirements, and assessment findings into practical strategies for teachers.
